informing you as a potential buyer as we feel you have the right to know of
dealings
has had concerning purchases of pups over the web.
We have spent a lot of time and many resources in search of quality blues. Often OUR travels have led to disappointment. We have learned in many cases what one portrays on his site is not at all what you see on his yard. We won't go into specific detail in order to refrain from criticizing other peoples' APBT's (American Pit Bull Terriers). However, we will say that for this reason we have lost several deposits because we wouldn't complete the transactions.
would also like you to know what may be involved in owning an APBT
with a blue coat. In general, dogs with a blue coat are more prone to skin
conditions. not all blue dogs develop skin problems, but you should be
aware that treatment for most conditions is available if the need does arise.
All treatments that we know of are easily administered and inexpensive.
has never produced, sold or received reports of any pup with skin
conditions. In our experience, we feel this is due to a healthy diet and
regular skin care maintenance. We recommend that when bathing, unless
otherwise instructed by a licensed veterinarian, that all chemicals be
thoroughly rinsed from dog.
That being said, the end conclusion of the matter is that
does not wish anyone to experience the disappointment we have. So below is
a list of things you should be aware of and questions you should ask in your
search for quality blue pits.
1. Look for pictures that may have been tampered with, such as stretched out or digitally altered.
2. Make sure the picture most recently posted is consistent with the dog's current age. (If the most recent picture posted is of the dog at 8 months old, but the dog is currently 1 1/2 yrs old, this may be reason for suspicion. The dog may have current ailments that one would not like to make known such as skin disease, tumors or cysts.)
3. If not posted ask for dog's height, weight and head size. Pictures do not accurately represent these aspects of the dog.
4. Check the updated photos for any visible markings that might indicate signs of serious ailments. Such as skin diseases, tumors, etc...
5. If any of the above are questionable, we suggest that you visit the kennel if at all possible before you place your deposit.
thanks you for your interest and consideration. It is our desire that all
who seek quality blue pits be fully informed and receive fair treatment in their
search for the best of blue APBT's (American Pit Bull Terriers)
